After long months, it is finally here: The celebrated MOBA from HiRez, SMITE, opens its doors for all Xbox players and thus enters the open beta phase. The only requirement is an active Xbox One Gold subscription.
The Battle of the Gods – Now Open to All Mortals!
Since yesterday afternoon, all interested Xbox One owners with an active Gold subscription can download SMITE for free and play on the Microsoft console. The Xbox version may lag slightly behind the PC variant regarding the current patch, but otherwise offers all the features you can experience on the computer. Particularly typical MOBA opponents might find this game appealing, as unlike many competitors in this genre, SMITE is played from a third-person perspective, providing a completely different gaming experience.
Even though the game will officially celebrate its real launch later in the summer, an open beta without resetting progress is practically equivalent to a release.
