Steam players of Elden Ring can download a new update. Patch 1.021 is about 10 MB in size but is expected to fix major issues of the game. Users immediately notice improvements with mouse & keyboard. There are also many reports of significantly improved performance on PC.
What has been improved? The small update is said to have introduced the following changes (via reddit):
- Mouse usage has been improved.
- The amount of data loaded when entering a new zone has been reduced.
The game from FromSoftware has struggled with major problems since its release. After excellent reviews, the mood, especially on Steam, quickly soured due to performance issues.
With update 1.02.1, two of the most significant problem areas of the PC version of the action RPG are being addressed. FromSoftware had already mentioned these in an official statement.
