A new video with 16 minutes of gameplay from the MMO Skyforge is now available, and it is quite optimistic.
A stress test of the servers was conducted in Russia. The English-speaking YouTuber Valthier also participated, summarizing his impressions in a gameplay video. He particularly appreciates the aesthetics, noting that it is not a purely fantasy setting like most MMORPGs, nor a sci-fi setting, but a successful mix of both. The graphics and the cutscenes appear high quality.
The world mostly features instanced zones, but there are also a few open areas that inspire a spirit of exploration. The character generation is solid, as is the combat system, a mix of action and tab targeting. He especially praises the boss mechanics, which are diverse even in the lower levels. However, YouTuber Valthier criticizes the class selection, stating that one cannot start with what they want, but instead must earn the privilege to play their desired class.
At the moment, there seems to be a lack of content and polish, but it appears that Skyforge could really compete in the upper league that it aims for.
