The god MMO Skyforge is starting its open beta for founders next week. This will essentially be the release.
“Open Beta” – good and well. If what is played there is permanently available to players, then the title is more or less already out and released. And for most, it is probably “more” than “less.” Because those who join later for the “official release” will wonder why the others have such a big lead. For many MMORPG players, the fun lies precisely in being able to compete at the front.
Skyforge also opts, like many Free2Play, for this tactic to carry out a kind of soft release with the “Open Beta”. The progress made from the start of the open beta will be permanently retained by the god aspirants.
- For players who have purchased a founder package, there will be an early start to the open beta on July 9 (it’s called early access … well.)
- For the rest of the festivities, it starts on July 16.
