In Skyforge, the gods MMORPG from my.com, our peaceful godly world is regularly attacked by vile alien scum. These invasions are meant to be more orderly and spaced out with the upcoming update Ascension.
The world of Aelion in Skyforge is a hotly contested place and just about every alien in the galaxy is eagerly licking its tentacles when it sets its googly eyes on this flourishing world. Therefore, swarms of enemies regularly descend upon Aelion, only to be thrashed again and again by the divine defenders of this world.
In the past, the aliens were so eager for Aelion that they all came at once and in disarray. However, that was not favorable for the players, who would have preferred to take their time with each invasion. Therefore, the developers have made improvements. With the Ascension update, the invaders will arrive one at a time and no longer overlap. Moreover, they will stay for 8 weeks each until they have received enough beating and crawl back home.

By the way, with each new invasion, the equipment level increases, and even players who do not participate in invasion events receive better gear. Additionally, with Ascension, all heroes who have achieved a divine form are allowed to participate in distortions, even if they are in no guild or pantheon. It will still be challenging, so joining a guild is still a good idea.
Finally, there are particularly dangerous raid bosses, the avatars of the old gods. We can attack these super creatures in training mode or as a champion incarnation. The latter offers us fat loot and an avatar trophy with which we can further develop our own godly form.
