Skate. (or affectionately called Skate 4 or Skate EA) was released on September 16, 2025. The game is set to receive continuous improvements and updates. We will show you the roadmap and what to expect.
What does the roadmap for Skate. look like? EA has already announced some content that players of Skate. can look forward to in the future. It is initially divided into 3 so-called seasons, which extend into the year 2026.
Each of the 3 seasons includes:
- New areas
- New challenges
- New seasonal events
- New brand partners
- New cosmetic items
- New songs
Furthermore, there will be targeted improvements and updates that we will now introduce to you.

When does Season 1 come out? Season 1 will be released in October 2025.
What content does Season 1 bring? With Season 1, you can look forward to the following content:
- 2 seasonal events: Skate-o-Ween and Maple Harvest
- skate.Pass
- Improvements to the player experience (including PC and HUD)

When does Season 2 come out? Season 2 will be released in December 2025.
What content does Season 2 bring? With Season 2, you can look forward to the following content:
- Co-op mode
- 2 seasonal events
- Party voice chat
- New gameplay tricks: Impossibles & extended handplants
- Improvements to the replay editor
Skate. Roadmap: All content from Season 3 and beyond
When does Season 3 come out? Season 3 currently has no fixed release window.
What content does Season 3 bring? The following content is planned for Season 3 and later seasons:
- Leaderboards
- Open-world collection
- More character slots (e.g. for tattoos)
- User-created parks
- New game modes
- New gameplay tricks: Darkslides & improved footplants
However, one aspect is causing problems, as many players are unable to enter the game at all. The new skating game and successor to the successful Skate series is already experiencing a surge of players during the first weekend: The new Skate greets players with a queue position of 179,000, making it the Steam hit of the weekend
