The selective multiplayer RPG Shroud of the Avatar has found a partner for the release in Germany and other parts of the world. The game is slowly headed towards its release.
The developer of Shroud of the Avatar, Portalarium, is based in Austin, Texas. They have partnered with the Munich-based publisher and game developer Travian Games to release Shroud of the Avatar in Europe, South America, Central America, the Middle East, and North Africa.

In a press release, representatives of both companies express how well they fit together and how much their visions align.
The mastermind behind SOTA, Richard Garriott, states: Europe has always been a strong market for the games of the Ultima series; therefore, we are excited to have found such a great partner who truly understands where we want to go with Shroud.
Travian Games is known for the game “Travian” and is also responsible for the distribution of the new indie MMORPG “Crowfall”.
Free trial program in August – release later this year
Those curious about what to expect in Shroud of the Avatar can participate in a Free2Play trial from August 9th to August 30th.
August and September are the big promotional months for the RPG: There are scheduled dates for various fairs, and they plan to appear at Gamescom as well. Lord British will appear himself.
It’s great to note that Release 45 will be on August 31st. With the patch, players will have the opportunity to reset their story and play through the now completed main quest fresh, without having to create a new character.
With Patch 44, which is now released, Shroud of the Avatar considers itself as “Story Complete.” The “full commercial launch” of Shroud of the Avatar is planned for later in 2017.
