The upcoming MMORPG Shroud of the Avatar will receive an automap created by one of the fans.
For a long time, the developers of the MMORPG Shroud of the Avatar resisted the implementation of an automap. Originally, players were supposed to navigate using in-game maps that could either be found or purchased. These maps were only meant to represent the general area and not show the player’s actual location or where merchants and quest givers are.
Automap system aims to simplify navigation
The plan has since changed. Because it is very difficult to navigate in the game world. A fan of the online game created a map called “SotAMap”, which marks all important locations in each area.
The development studio integrated this map system a few months ago as a rudimentary automap system. But now, SotAMap has been purchased from the creator to customize it to the game and keep it regularly updated.
Automap is continually expanding
New features are already planned for the future. Merchants and quest givers are expected to appear on the automap, making it significantly easier to navigate, especially in the winding cities. Those who do not wish to use the automap function can simply turn it off. However, the system is a great relief for everyone who wants to know where they are and where they need to go.
Since the developers of SotA themselves prefer to play simpler mobile games, you may have noticed how hard it was to navigate without an automap in the game.
