The party game Fall Guys currently entertains thousands of players and viewers. However, Twitch star shroud believes that this won’t last long. At least not if the developers don’t quickly change two things: more maps and more party.
This is what shroud says: In one of his recent streams – shroud is now back on Twitch – the top streamer talked about the new hit Fall Guys. However, he sees quite a bleak future for it.
In a conversation with his teammates, he says: “Fall Guys will surely die quickly. After playing, it is impossible for it to remain interesting for long. Unless the developers bring new maps.” After a short pause, he adds quite insistently: “Quickly!”
The second important thing he mentions a little later is that Fall Guys needs to become “more of a party game” than it currently is. It would help if private lobbies could be created without random players. “I don’t want to play with damn strangers, man.”
What bothers him about it? Fall Guys is fun, but also his teammates say that they couldn’t play it for hours. Since it’s still all about winning, even resorting to nasty tricks for the players, it quickly becomes competitive. This somehow stands in the way of the party aspect.
At least for the new maps, there are already hints that something will indeed come soon. Twitter user Shiina shares images of several new game modes that data miners have already found:
Recently, Fall Guys with the update “Spicy” has already received some improvements. New modes, if they indeed come, would at least be what the game needs according to shroud.
Success and Problems of Fall Guys
The party game has proven to be a huge hit, both with players and viewers. A streamer winning in Fall Guys even set a new record on Twitch. MeinMMO author Jürgen Horn is also thrilled about the title:
However, the popularity and the desire to win also brings cheaters with it. For some time now, cheaters have been making the game unsafe and ensuring that other players no longer have fun. It seems that there are even more of them.
Fortunately, there are still plenty of fair players who simply block these cheaters. They even forgo victory to troll the cheaters and prevent them from winning. Instead of fighting for the win, they block and tug at the cheaters. While these are cool actions, it seems that there is still room for improvement from the developers.
