The Twitch star Shroud is known for playing challenging shooters and showcasing them to his large audience. Now, the former CS professional apparently has a new favorite game: Fallout 76.
This is what Shroud says about Fallout 76: Shroud seems to be excited about Fallout 76. Since June 12, he has completed two streams where he showed about 9 hours of gameplay from Fallout 76.
He often speaks highly of the game and especially the new battle royale mode, Nuclear Winter. After his last stream, he even said:
God, I want to play more, but I can’t. I’ll play again tomorrow, no problem. It’s fun, man, there’s something special about just hanging around and building random classes and all that. Oh boy!
Why is Shroud even playing Fallout?
Here’s Shroud’s decision: Shroud actually plays shooters on Twitch, and in recent weeks Apex Legends has become his main game. However, this has particularly troubled him lately due to a now-fixed bug.
Nevertheless, Shroud announced on June 10 via Twitter that Fallout 76 would become his new main game. What sounded like a joke to many users now seems to be true for at least a while.
One of the reasons for the decision might also be that Fallout 76 is available for free for a week due to the new mode. Until June 17, you can play Fallout 76 in full and test the “Nuclear Winter” mode.
This is what the new mode offers: At E3 2019, Bethesda presented a new feature of the upcoming “Nuclear Winter” update for Fallout 76: The eponymous battle royale mode. In this, 52 players compete for the title of overseer of Vault 51.
The game combines the classic gameplay and weapons of Fallout 76, which can be found everywhere, team play in squads of up to four, and a building system that somewhat resembles that of Fortnite.
What’s particularly interesting about the mode is that atomic bombs can also be launched. Additionally, you level up with each victory and receive new perks for the mode, cosmetics, and rewards for the adventure mode of Fallout 76.
If you’re not interested in battle royale, the autumn update “Wastelanders” has something in store for you:
