The famous Twitch streamer shroud explained in one of his streams why he thinks the Steam hit Among Us is so dumb. The game is currently in hype on Twitch and Steam.
Which game is it about? The title Among Us is currently on everyone’s lips. The indie game was released in 2018 and is just now really taking off on Steam and Twitch. It is a kind of party game where a group of players must together repair a spaceship. However, within the group, there is also one or more impostors trying to take out the astronauts.

What does shroud find so dumb about Among Us?
This is what shroud says: In a livestream on September 19, 2020, shroud played Among Us with 9 other players. After a few participants had already died, a voting round was coming up. However, they could not agree on a clear target, which is why no one got voted out.
Discussions then broke out, players were talking louder in the voice chat, talking over each other. shroud listened to the conversations, and when all participants muted their microphones to continue the round, shroud spoke to his viewers on Twitch:
“The game is just so dumb,” he said laughing. “It’s so dumb. Oh my God. Such a dumb, damn game. All this shouting at each other. He says this, she says that. ‘I saw you here’, ‘No, I wasn’t there’, ‘oh okay’. Jesus. It’s so dumb. Oh man. so damn dumb.”
Even though his words sound quite damning, it is exactly what makes Among Us appealing to many players. It is those heated discussions and the simple gameplay that provide a funny combination for many. Among Us has set a new player record on Steam, and fans say positively “It destroys more friendships than UNO”.
Streamer Pokimane sounds angry after game round with xQc
This happened to Pokimane: The streamer Pokimane, who took a break from Twitch after receiving a lot of hate is back on the platform. She also plays Among Us like many other big Twitch streamers, including the notorious Twitch streamer xQc.
During a match, she played the impostor. So she had to discreetly eliminate other players and ideally talk her way out of being accused during voting rounds.
After 2 players were murdered, the players discussed among themselves who did what in the round. Just before the voting time ended, xQc announced that he wanted to vote Pokimane out. She barely had time to defend herself against xQc’s accusations and was voted out directly.
Apparently, it frustrated her how the voting was handled. It seemed unfair to give her only a few seconds to defend herself. “That was such a last-second Andy crap, and of course, when it comes to xQc, we all have to listen to him,” the streamer explained.
“Imagine you literally have 3 seconds to plead your case and then, boom, you’re dead. I’m being honest, that doesn’t really make the lobby the most enjoyable.”
But even if this tactic worked well for xQc, he has his problems with the game and can really rage in Among Us.
