Fortnite: Battle Royale offers new skins in the shop again at the start of Season 6. It will be festive and beer-loving thanks to Oktoberfest skins.
O’zapft is! The Munich Oktoberfest is not only a highlight in Bavaria. The beer festival is also popular among Americans and is well-known there. Therefore, the developers at Fortnite have dressed up the new skins from Update 6.0 in the current shop offer in Wies’n style. While it doesn’t quite fit the horror theme of Season 6, it certainly fits the Oktoberfest in Munich!
These skins are currently available in the shop
These are the outfits: The two Oktoberfest skins from the shop are called “Ludwig” and “Heidi”. Both represent a somewhat clichéd version of typical Bavarians:
- Ludwig: This skin depicts an older gentleman in lederhosen and traditional attire. He has a beard carefully stiffened with Bavarian beard wax and a cap adorned with hops instead of a pigtail. He carries a beer mug on his belt. Ludwig is an epic skin and costs 1,500 V-Bucks ($15).
- Heidi: The female version of the Oktoberfest skin is a stylish “madl” in a dirndl dress and blonde braids. She also wears a classic Bavarian hat. Heidi also costs 1,500 V-Bucks ($15).
These are the back blings: As epic skins, both outfits come with a back accessory included. They do not cost extra, but you also cannot purchase them separately.
- Ludwig has a cuckoo clock (those are also typically German for many Americans) on his back.
- Heidi carries a beer mug filled with pretzels.
This is the new pickaxe: The Oktoberfest skins also have a matching pickaxe. It is called “Hackordeon” and is exactly that: An accordion on a handle. The pickaxe costs 500 V-Bucks ($5).
Festive glider: The highlight of the Oktoberfest set, however, is the new glider. It is called “Oktoberfest meal” and features a flying Bavarian snack platter with white sausages, beer keg, cheese, and pretzels. Additionally, hops fly away from it when you steer it. This festive glider costs 800 V-Bucks ($8).
