Are pre-ordered PS5 consoles arriving later for players than expected? Currently, emails from Saturn and MediaMarkt are going out to pre-order customers announcing a possible delay.
This is the email: If you have pre-ordered the PS5 from MediaMarkt or Saturn, you should check your inbox. Because currently, emails from the stores are going out that indicate a possible delay in deliveries.

At both Saturn and MediaMarkt, the messages are similar in wording. They state that “due to the very high demand for orders, we cannot guarantee […], that you will receive the desired item by the release date on November 19, 2020. We ask for your understanding and sincerely apologize for this.”
They are currently in contact with the manufacturer to deliver to all pre-order customers as quickly as possible. Both in social media and in comments here at MeinMMO, reports about the email are accumulating; some members of the editorial team are also affected.
Whether it is a mass email that was generally sent to all pre-order customers is still unclear at this point. We will keep you updated on this.
When will the PS5 arrive then? The email does not provide any new delivery date that the affected customers could expect. However, it is also explicitly not stated that the PS5 will definitely be delayed – it is merely the announcement that there may be a delay. A precise shipping date cannot currently be reliably provided, the message states.
However, it is certain that you will not be able to get a PS5 in retail on the release day. Sony confirmed this recently.
