The popular small map “Shipment” is now online in Call of Duty: Vanguard. You can find out more about the new CoD’s plans here on MeinMMO.
Update November 17 – 7:00 PM: The new map was introduced with an update and launches directly with the 24/7 playlist. The patch notes for update 1.07 can be found here.
If you want to test Vanguard and Shipment, a free weekend for the new CoD starts on November 18.
Original message: Call of Duty: Vanguard has been on the market for less than 2 weeks, and already the first new map is being introduced: the chaos map “Shipment”. It’s also only 2 weeks until the start of the first season with more new content. You can find the most important information here.
Shipment as the first new map on November 17
What is Shipment? Fast, faster, Shipment – that’s how the small chaos map can be described well. The map first appeared with Modern Warfare 1 from 2007 in CoD and excites players with its high pace, stresses with spawns in the enemy’s crosshairs, and convinces with plenty of experience points at the end of the match.
In CoD MW from 2019, the small map was considered the most popular map, because it broke the usual gameplay of Modern Warfare. The experience was pure carnage without much running or strategizing – keep your head up and fire at everything that moves.
Shipment & The House – more chaos is hardly possible: Call of Duty offers relatively few 6v6 maps where you basically constantly see your opponents. Vanguard breaks with tradition even before Season 1 and brings two crazy maps with high pace: Shipment and The House.
We can already look forward to a playlist that will provide us with the two maps with high combat pacing in a 24/7 playlist. Dizziness, chaos, kills – everything alternating, not necessarily in that order.
CoD Vanguard: Season 1 starts on December 2
What is known about Season 1? We only know the start date of the new season for sure. Regarding content, we only have hints so far, but nothing concrete:
- Season start on December 2
- 3 new maps for multiplayer
- 3 operators to unlock
- New alliances, missions, and more for the zombie mode
- Battle Pass with 2 new weapons
It is still unclear whether the zombie mode will be expanded with the important “Easter Egg”. So far, the mode is a pure shooting gallery without a real objective. The zombies do get a power-up with each completed round, but not much changes after a certain point.
We know for sure that the first Vanguard “Battle Pass” will launch and will also bring 2 new weapons. The roadmap also mentions new “equipment”. There may also be new killstreaks, grenades, or similar.
Additionally, on December 2, the integration of Warzone into Vanguard will also start. The battle royale will receive the Vanguard graphics and the largest update in its history:
At the latest, when the first season starts, balance adjustments in Vanguard should also make their premiere. Currently, there are a lot of OP options in the World War II shooter with extremely high damage that can take your enemies down in the blink of an eye.
