Chrales from the PogoDev team has now found the Shiny forms of Mareep, Flaaffy, and Ampharos in the network traffic of Pokémon GO. The 4th Community Day will take place on April 15 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM and brings this special move for Ampharos.
Special Mareep Quest Found
In addition to these shiny forms for Mareep and its evolutions, Chrales also found information about a specific quest. Recently, Pokémon GO unlocked the research feature that provides you with tasks and rewards.
The text of the quest reads: “quest_catch_special6_plural” “Catch {0} Mareep” – In English, this translates to “Catch {0} Mareep,” with the zero being adjusted accordingly. What reward it provides is unclear.
The community suspects that Niantic could combine the new research feature with the Community Day to distribute a special reward. How this develops, we will likely see in a few days.
