In Pokémon GO we are getting a new Shiny tonight! The shiny version of Seep is going to be available worldwide thanks to the GO Fest.
When is the Shiny coming? Coinciding with the start of the GO Fests in Chicago, Shiny Seep will be introduced worldwide. It will arrive tonight, June 13th, at 6 PM our time and will appear more frequently. The spawns will likely end along with the GO Fest on Sunday, June 16th.
Shiny Seep is coming – All about the release
What does the Shiny look like? The shiny version is easily recognizable, as Seep will no longer be light blue but rather turquoise. Its evolutions will then be dark blue to purple.
What is the Shiny rate? In the last GO Fests and Safari Zones, Shinies were also released. There, the chance of getting a Shiny was always increased.
This should also be the case with Seep, as it is being released due to the GO Fest. The chance could be around 1 in 50. However, this is not officially known.
Shiny Seep was to be expected: When the image for the GO Fest in Chicago was published, Seep could also be seen. There, it was already suspected that Seep would come as a Shiny for the event.
Furthermore, each of the last Safari Zones has brought a new Shiny. Most recently, it was during the Safari Zone in Singapore with Pottrott. The Pokémon was then available for capture worldwide for a whole weekend.
Will Shiny Seep remain after the event? When the GO Fest is over, the increased chance of Shiny Seep will also disappear. On one hand, the spawns will decrease, and on the other hand, the Shiny rate will be lower.
Shiny Seep will still be catchable afterward, though. The chances will just be significantly lower.
