In a match in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, 5 players assault their poor victim with Riot Shields and even briefly trap them. MeinMMO shows you the nasty action and gives tips on how to protect yourself from such attacks.
What was going on? In a round of “Cyber Attack,” a situation of disadvantage occurred in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. In the last round of the match, it was 5 against 1, and the only hope of the team was already fleeing from an opponent with a Riot Shield.
Instead of taking out the last player directly, the entire 5-man team decided to ambush and pressured the poor survivor with 5 Riot Shields. To deal damage with the shield, you have to get really close to the target. Yet even when the enemy was within range, they did not finish him off immediately.
All 5 Riot Shields positioned themselves around the opponent and trapped him. He was stuck for several seconds and could barely free himself. The valiant fighter managed to take down 2 of his opponents with a shotgun, but in the end, the clip creator took him out with a finisher.

As the thread title reveals, “Jalckxy” felt somewhat guilty about the action (“I feel really bad for this guy”). His team was clearly ahead, and he was the last opponent in the final round. So they decided to have a little fun and go for the shield party. However, not every viewer was pleased with that.
What reactions were there? Opinions on the clip are quite divided. On one hand, some think the video is cool because you can hear that the squad had a lot of fun in the round. On the other hand, there are players who are annoyed by the Riot Shields and find such actions highly toxic.

Build an Anti-Shield Class or Save a Grenade
What tips do players give? Always have some of the following items/attachments on hand, or build an anti-shield loadout and switch to this class in a match when you notice that the opponents are heavily using the Riot Shield.
Important are attacks that cause area damage (AoE Damage):
- Thermite – Sets a “sticky” with a direct hit
- Dragon’s Breath Ammunition – Burns enemies with the fire shots from your shotgun
- Molotovs – Throw the fiery ones on or in front of your opponents so they succumb to the fire damage
- RPG – Shoot a rocket just behind or beside the shield enemy to take them out
- Crossbow with explosive bolts – Can take the knockout phase in Warzone and helps against shield opponents when you hit them with the explosion
- Shrapnel and Flak Jacket – The two perks give you more grenades
The Riot Shields in Call of Duty are a topic in themselves and divide the community. Many say that this gadget has no place in a shooter like CoD. But to make it annoying, you also have to be able to handle it. Sometimes it’s quite easy to take out a guy with a shield.
