Shadow’s Kiss could fill an interesting niche as a vampire MMO.
Many players were looking forward to a dark vampire MMO, but after the cancellation of CCP Games’ World of Darkness in the summer of 2014, things looked rather bleak. However, World of Darkness has inspired successors. On one hand Dogma: Eternal Night, on the other: Shadow’s Kiss.
The game studio Clockwork Throne Inc. wants to immerse you in a world of darkness where eroticism plays a role. At the start, you create a freshly “born” vampire, where you even determine his sexual orientation. And since Anne Rice’s Interview with a Vampire we know the role of eroticism for the undead. But don’t worry, the bloodsuckers don’t sparkle in the sunlight, as was the case in Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight.
Enslave humans or undead
After you create your vampire, you start in your hideout, which you can continue to expand. You explore a large city, feed on humans, and make unsuspecting victims your subjects, who are obedient to you and complete tasks for you. However, many supernatural creatures lurk in the darkness of the night, wanting to tear you apart, including werewolves. Additionally, you seek powerful artifacts that you can find through quests.
There are no classes in the game. You choose the skills you might need before quests and then increase them while playing. Over time, you will become more powerful and can control not only humans but also undead, or transform into a demon that seduces humans. The more powerful you become, the greater your influence will be and you will want to expand your territory.

The MMORPG, which runs on the Unity 5 engine, is currently in a pre-alpha phase. You gain access to it by purchasing the Early Access version from the website’s store for 15 US dollars.
