With World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, a lot is going to change in leveling in WoW – especially for Twinks. They will soon have many more options.
During BlizzCon 2019, many details about World of Warcraft: Shadowlands will be revealed. The next expansion revolves around Sylvanas’ grand plan and brings many changes. Not only is the level cap reduced from 120 to 60, but leveling is also massively changed. This is great for Twinks and story fans.
What was said? Ion Hazzikostas, the Game Director of World of Warcraft, revealed some exciting details in the “What’s Next?” panel for Shadowlands. He also addressed the leveling of Twinks. Many players are frustrated that they can only manage one or two areas in Pandaria before they are too high in level to accomplish anything meaningful there.
This will change with Shadowlands. Hazzikostas announced that you can spend the complete level range of 1-50 in one expansion if you wish. So, anyone wanting to play through all the areas of Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor to experience a cohesive story can do so.
What does this change mean? In plain language, this means that you can level every character up to Shadowlands in exactly the areas where you like to play. It seems that the scaling areas, which were introduced a few patches ago, will be further adjusted so that there are no more restrictions.
This change is likely to please especially those players who have only recently discovered World of Warcraft and have never had the opportunity to play through some areas “meaningfully.” But long-time veterans also benefit. Anyone uninterested in Outland and Northrend will never have to revisit these areas when leveling again.
What do you think of this change? Are you looking forward to leveling completely in one of your favorite expansions soon? Or do you find this change silly?
