In a developer stream, it was revealed that there will be sensible UI adjustments, new skills for blade weapons, and a revision of the “City of the Sun God”.
Secret World Legends – Streamlined UI and Spirit Blades
Games like Secret World Legends thrive on the dense atmosphere that can create strong immersion. However, this only works if there aren’t people with names like “Bl00dR0xXorzl33t” running around and ruining everything.
To ensure that the dark game is not unnecessarily disturbed by name displays, information such as faction and rank will now be banished from the normal view. Anyone who still wants to know will have to inspect the respective player with a special action. Those who prefer can turn off all the UI annoyances anyway and not see who is standing in front of them by name.
Another innovation from the remake is the new blade weapon specialization “Spirit Blade”. This allows sword wielders to cut down their opponents even more effectively. By the way, those who master all skills of a weapon receive special “Capstone Skills” for each weapon. These become stronger when you have several such skills.
More to do in the City of the Sun God
All the new abilities will soon be testable in the overhauled zone “City of the Sun God”. This area will receive a lot of new missions as well as a device that will take you back and forth across the map.
Furthermore, dungeons in SWL will scale better, allowing you to complete 3-person instances alone. Investigation missions will soon have their own slot, and the level cap will rise to 50.
