In Pokémon GO there is a free research that gives you some strong rewards. However, to obtain them, you must take action.
There are regularly limited researches in Pokémon GO that require you to complete tasks and reward you with monsters, items, stardust, or experience points. This is also the case with a research that you can pick up and complete regularly.
This research is also available in the new season Memories in Motion. This time, it even offers some rewards that are otherwise not available. And you don’t even have to do much – just hurry to pick up the research.
Pick up, catch, collect
What kind of research is this? The research is about the GO Battle League. You can pick it up for free at the beginning of a season. Here you have to complete and win a certain number of battles in the battle league on several pages.
What rewards are available here? Particularly interesting in each season are the last two pages. Once you complete these, you will receive, among other things, a Premium Raid Pass as well as a Charged TM.
As these two TMs are not only very rare but also very powerful, it is worth it for you to complete the required number of battles and victories within the season. However, for trainers who are not active in the battle league at all, this may be discouraging.
What new rewards are there? In this season, however, in addition to the 5 regular pages of tasks, there is one more page. This starts the research. To complete this, you only need to catch 20 Pokémon. For this, you will then receive encounters with the following monsters as a reward:
- Cradily
- Stunfisk
- Marowak
- Furret
- Clefable
- Azumarill
These monsters are all quite strong in the Super League and are among the best Pokémon of the Super League. So if you are active here or plan to take a trip to this part of the game in the future, you should definitely complete at least the first page of the research.
This way, you can not only enjoy the hunt for the monsters themselves but also save some candies that you would otherwise need for evolutions.
Even if the IV values of the monsters are not optimal for you, they are still worth it. Optimizing battle league monsters for their IVs only makes a bigger difference in the very high ranks of the league. For most trainers, this is relatively irrelevant.
How do I obtain the research? To pick up the research, you need to open the in-game shop of Pokémon GO within the next 7 days, until March 18, 2026. Here you will find the “Pass for Limited GO Battle League Research” and can collect it for free. You just have to hurry, as it can only be picked up at the beginning of a new season.
Once you have collected it, you will have until the end of the season on June 2, 2026, at 10:00 AM to complete it and collect your rewards.
