With Season 7, new Whisper Zones were introduced in Diablo 4, where you can farm XP effectively. The feature is so well received by players that many hope it will be permanently integrated into the game.
Season 7 in Diablo 4 started on January 21 and brought new content to the ARPG. There are cool witch powers that complement your builds, new “Occult Gems”, and the zones with Whisper Quests have also been expanded. These new “Head Hunting Zones” are referred to as “Witch Floods” by many players because the density of monsters and the design remind them of Hell Floods.
Similar to the Hell Floods, you can farm XP effectively in the Witch Floods. Many players report that they no longer want to complete the Whisper Quests any other way. As a result, the Hell Floods have taken a backseat for many.
“The best way to level solo to level 60”
How are the zones received by players? A look into the subreddit for Diablo 4 shows that the new zones are very well received by players. Many hope that they will remain in their current form permanently. The submission system for gifts is particularly praised: A raven of the tree spawns in the areas, allowing you to easily collect your chests.
A user explains on Reddit that he initially thought it was just another Hell Flood. “But the more I play, the more it feels like a better Whisper Zone – and it’s really fun. Blizzard, please make the regular Whisper Zones more like this,” he writes.
In the same post, Risp_91 comments that the season zones are “fantastic”. “This must be the best way to level solo to level 60. I haven’t even been in a Hell Flood, that’s how good it is, lol,” he notes.
Regarding the gifts, Winter_Ad_2618 writes that he loves the new ravens. He can no longer play the Whisper Zones in any other way. And tacoguyasaurus also thinks that the zones could stay permanently. He says: “I love them so far. There is so much variety, and the raven submission system is great.”
What is special about the new zones? The new “Head Hunting Zones” include numerous Whisper Quests where you can collect gifts for the Whispering Tree. Because several turquoise Head Hunting Zones are active on the map at the same time, you can essentially collect gifts, loot, XP, and reputation continuously. There is always a lot going on – even in the zones themselves:
- In the zones, you will find numerous Whisper Quests that you complete to gather gifts for the Whispering Tree.
- Once you have collected 10 gifts, you can submit them to the ravens of the tree – so you don’t have to leave the zone and travel to the tree as before.
- In the areas, “Exposed Roots” spawn, which can either produce loot, monsters, or the bosses “Headless Shells”.
- By killing the “Head Rots” in the Head Hunting Zones, you collect “Restless Rot.” With that, you can buy and upgrade witch powers.
- By completing the Whisper Quests, you earn reputation in the circle. The more reputation you collect, the more rewards you unlock.
The highlight for Nicole are the ravens of the Whispering Tree that spawn in the zones. Thanks to them, gifts can be submitted quickly, and you can farm chests efficiently. New boxes have been introduced that contain only materials or gold. Overall, the chests from the Whispering Tree are one of the best sources for various items and materials, even in the endgame.
Even though you can now submit your gifts to the ravens of the tree, it’s worth visiting the Whispering Tree.
