In Fortnite (PC, PS4, Xbox One, iOS) the release of Season 4 is just around the corner. The developers have now announced the start date for the next Battle Pass.
What is currently going on? Players of Fortnite have been waiting for weeks for Epic to finally release more info about the start of Season 4. This new season is expected to bring a lot of innovations to the game. We are talking about superheroes, quirky new game modes, and profound changes to the map.
But when will it finally be time?
Revelation on Twitter, Season 4 does not start on April 30
When does it start? Until now, it was always said that Season 3 would last until April 30. Many players wondered, “Will Season 4 start right away or only the next day?” Now the cat is out of the bag, and we are informed.
In a tweet on April 30, Epic Games clearly referred to “tomorrow,” meaning May 1. Then they are supposed to “brace for impact” and “witness Season 4.” The line about bracing for impact (Brace for Impact) could refer both to the comet’s impact and the leaked name of a new game mode.
What are those figures in the teaser image?
There was again a teaser image showing a crater left by the comet impact, which players have been anticipating for weeks. There are four figures standing in it. Two of them are easily recognizable, they are the skins “Elite Agent” and “Steel Sight.” These were already available from the 3rd Battle Pass or from the shop.
The third figure could be the legendary shop skin Raptor, but it is hard to recognize. The last figure, on the other hand, is new and looks like some kind of cyborg or android. Possibly one of the new superhero or villain skins, referred to in another leak.
Interesting detail: Some fans claim to have recognized power poles in the background of the teaser image. They only exist in this form in the game at one location, namely Dusty Depot. So is there perhaps some truth to the theory that the comet will destroy this location?
Start of Downtime Known
Tomorrow we will know more when Season 4 likely starts. The exact time for the end of Season 3 is according to the site FortniteIntel 9:30 AM our time. You can calculate this time yourself when you look at the Season Pass in the game. There is a countdown which ends at the mentioned time. Then presumably, the downtime for Season 4 will begin and hopefully not take too long.
Season 4 will likely start on May 1 after 12:00 PM our time
It is now clear: Around 10:00 AM our time, the Fortnite servers will be taken offline for maintenance. Then the new Fortnite update will be applied. And when the servers are back up, Season 4 will begin!
This should happen sometime after 12:00 PM.
