In Destiny 2, the last week of the upcoming Season 14 has arrived, but there are still some question marks that have not yet been uncovered. Will this happen at the last minute?

What mysteries? Today, on August 17th, we are expecting the last Weekly Reset of Season 14, before next week on August 24th the new Season 15 will launch. Officially, nothing more (big) is planned for this week. With the epilogue from last week, the roadmap for the outgoing season ends.
However, there are still 2 potential contents from the season of the Splicer that have not yet made their way into the game – not even with the epilogue, which some had actually speculated about. So what can we still expect in the last week of Season 15?
New Exotic Splicer Ship
What’s the deal with the ship? In Season 14, we were supposed to earn a new exotic ship, which has been visible in the database for some time – the “Forbidden Memory” (via light.gg) in the typical Fallen style. The source is listed as the “Season of the Splicer” quest.
It was assumed that Season 14 would end with the epilogue from last week and that the ship would also be received at the end there. After all, Commander Zavala visits a joint memorial of humans and Eliksni in the lore of the ship – presumably in honor of the shared fight against the Vex as part of the epilogue. But the ship has not yet been a reward.
How likely is it? This could indeed still happen in the last week of Season 14, the chances are quite good. According to data mining, there should be another small quest this week where the ship could be the reward.
Mysterious Oracles
What’s up with the mysterious Oracles? When Season 14 began, Vex Conflicts (a kind of “digital” pillar) suddenly appeared in some Lost Sectors in the Tangled Shore, surrounded by floating Oracles and protected by a Vex Minotaur. Players began to speculate what it could be. But shortly thereafter, Bungie patched it out of the game and stated that it had been a mistake. You can watch them in a video by Esoterickk here:
But the mystery itself lived on. There were numerous theories about what it could be – for example, a new activity, a community puzzle, or an exotic quest (for the Vex Mythoclast), which was supposed to appear later in the advanced stage of the season but simply appeared in the game too early. But none of this has been confirmed so far.
How likely is it? Currently, there are basically 3 theories around these mysterious Oracles:
- It is something that will come into the game this week – however, this is the least likely variant.
- It is something that was intended for Season 15 and just appeared in the game too early.
- It is a remnant of content that was originally planned for Season 14 but was discarded and accidentally made its way into the game. This is likely the most plausible explanation.
In short: One should not assume that anything bigger is about to happen or go live right now. But you never know. Either way – this mystery should be solved soon.
