Destiny 2 has presented the Season of the Chosen, but at the reveal, the design of the armors was the topic of conversation and not the weapons or activities.
This is what players are talking about: Destiny 2 revealed the Season 13 on February 2nd. It is called Season of the Chosen and starts on February 9th. Guardians were able to learn something about the 3 new Strikes, new seasonal activities, and tons of weapons in a spectacular trailer.
However, the main topic of discussion right now is not what the Guardians will shoot with or at in Season 13, but how they will look while doing so. The shown gear causes a lot of laughter, but also complete confusion and head shakes.
What kind of armor is this? The bone of contention is the set you see in the title image. To be precise, this is not armor, but universal ornaments that are available in the Season Pass.
This means you can apply the appearance to (almost) all armor and give any legendary armor this look … if you want to. Because the spiky hats, especially from the Titan, and the pom-poms don’t seem to really appeal to the players.

Often the name “Season of the Pinhead” comes up, referring to the season’s theme of head-shaped designs.
Not everyone is laughing: Other Guardians do not find this funny at all and think the armors are just ugly. They say on reddit: “Dear Armor Design Team…” – implying that they need to talk.
But here on MeinMMO, readers also seem to talk more about the design of the armors rather than the new trailer or fresh content.
- Mr.Tarnigel wonders: “I took a good look at the ornaments, phew, it’s hard to imagine that someone could program that without coercion. What the hell is that ball on the helmet?”
- Bienenvogel lets it out: “One thing I have to point out: I’m usually not one of those who say the armors in D2 [Destiny 2] are bad or even ‘ugly’, but the one in the picture above… Help! ? I assume that is the seasonal armor? Ugh, unfortunately not my taste at all.”
- Shin Malphur dryly agrees but gets to the point: “Yeah, the armors are not the hit, but the rest really makes me look forward to the season!”
However, the armors also receive some support and some Guardians consider the design a welcome change:
