What is there to do in the vast world of the pirate online game Sea of Thieves? With the Voyage system, complex quests find their way into the game.
Sailing on a ship, engaging in sea battles with other crews, and performing boardings is quite fun. But is there more to do in the world of the online game Sea of Thieves?
In a new video, the developers discuss the Voyage system, which allows you to embark on plenty of interesting quests.
Complex ship journeys with different goals
Every ship journey can unfold differently. For example, you might sail to an island just to dig up a treasure. Alternatively, the journey may take you across several islands, where there are different tasks to complete.
Each “Voyage” will yield different rewards depending on its complexity. During these quests, you need to be aware that you are not traveling alone. Other crews might also be trying to complete this quest and may get in your way, leading to sea battles.
Rich story and modular structure
Throughout a “Voyage,” you will experience a cutscene, a sequence that continues the story to captivate you and guide you through an exciting narrative. The entire Voyage system is modular, allowing the developers to create different journeys with varying tasks and lengths. This promises varied missions.
Additionally, another alpha test took place last weekend, allowing 8,000 players to participate. The developers aim to use feedback from this test to make further improvements to Sea of Thieves, which is set to be released later this year for Windows 10 PCs and Xbox One.
