The first content update for Sea of Thieves is now here. We show you what changes in the game. There are now flags, speaking tubes, and new dangers.
Starting today, May 29th, you can download the new content update for Sea of Thieves. It is about 1.4 GB on all platforms. A new danger awaits in the seas, new instruments are now in the game.
Sea of Thieves Patch Notes
- Ship Rats: In the taverns, you will find new NPCs called Ship Rats. They tell you stories about what is happening underwater.
- A new danger: Something old, huge, and hungry rises to the surface. Follow the various puzzles and rumors to uncover what lies behind it.
- This event is apparently time-limited. Adventurers – hurry up!
- Drums: A new instrument now adds the right beat to your pirate songs.
- Speaking Tubes: With the speaking tube, you can communicate with other crews at a distance.
- Flags! With flags, you can signal to other crews what your intentions are. Are you looking for allies, or are you ready for battle? Show it with a flag!
- Tattoos and Scars: New cosmetic changes let your pirates appear stylish with scars and tattoos.
New Cosmetics! This includes new content like figureheads and sails with which you can further enhance your ships. A flag shows other players when you have ascended to Pirate Legend. New ghostly clothing has also made its way into the game.
No more missing ships: As with every update, some bugs were also fixed with the Hungry Deep update. Your ships should now always be present after the start and not suddenly disappear. Why is the update so important for fans? Since the launch of Sea of Thieves, players have criticized the lack of quests in the game. They felt that there was too little to do in the long run. With this content update, they aim to combat the issues. How this pays off and whether the new danger underwater brings the desired variety, we will find out in the coming days.
