Sea of Thieves Patchnotes Version 1.03 PC/Xbox One
The Sea of Thieves update is available for you after maintenance on April 11. The update is 1.20GB in size on all platforms. Due to the balance changes, the “Eye of Reach” rifle could become more popular.
- Weapon Balancing: The damage of the Blunderbuss has been reduced. In return, the damage from Eye of Reach, the scoped rifle, was increased.
- The balancing is based on data from players’ favorite weapons and overall damage output. These changes will be monitored, and further adjustments will be made if necessary.
- Message from Beyond: On the Ferryman’s ship, players now find a message with instructions on how to scuttle their own ship.
- This is a reminder for players whose ship is in a bad position and they do not want to go back there.
- In the menu under “My Crew,” you can vote for scuttling the ship. After that, the ship will spawn at a new position.
- [PC Only] Aiming Sensitivity: The default mouse sensitivity setting when aiming has been increased.
- This change is based on community feedback. Pirates complained about how extremely low the sensitivity was while aiming.
- Work is underway on a slider that will allow you to set your own aiming sensitivity.
- [PC Only] Mouse Mapping: Scrolling up and down with the mouse wheel can now be assigned as hotkeys in the key mapping.
Fixed Bugs
A few bugs plagued the community in recent weeks. The development team has addressed these issues and resolved them. You should now be able to equip a second weapon without problems.
- Activating the Indirect chat no longer causes non-crew members to hear you all over the world.
- The bug that prevented players from equipping two weapons should no longer occur.
- Players should now be notified at least 30 minutes before a server down as planned.
- Various server and client issues have been fixed.
A list of known bugs that are still in the game can be found on the official Sea of Thieves website.
