Sea of Thieves promises to be a very interesting multiplayer game with a pirate setting. Now there is new information about the game.
A new AAA MMORPG from a well-known studio – this has become quite rare. But with Sea of Thieves from Rare, this gap could be filled again. Officially, it is referred to as a “multiplayer adventure game.” Aaron Greenberg from Microsoft has now commented on the game and revealed some new details.
Chaos or Order?
The MMO is said to be still in a pretty early phase, yet testers have reportedly had a lot of fun with it. Greenberg reports how he played together with Vice President Kudo Tsunoda, who simply jumped overboard and boarded the enemy ship solo. After a while, he reappeared and fired the cannons at his friends. You can have a lot of fun in Sea of Thieves simply by being silly.
However, things can also get much more orderly at times. During another gameplay session with Microsoft’s Hanno Lemke, Greenberg attacked his colleague on the deck of a ship with a fish. He asked what that was about and explained that he should really haul up the anchor. So, you can have fun in the MMO in very diverse ways. Whether you act orderly as a crew or just spread chaos is entirely up to each player.

Sea of Thieves is set to be released later this year for PC and Xbox One.According to Kudo Tsunoda, it is the best game that Rare has developed so far.
