In just a few days, Sea of Thieves will be released. With this launch trailer, the team showcases what awaits you besides ships and skeletons.
It won’t be long until the pirate game Sea of Thieves is released by the developer studio Rare. Starting March 20, you can play the game on Xbox or PC. In the process, you’ll read treasure maps, sail your ship to various islands in the sea, and fight against skeletons to ultimately earn gold coins.
Sea of Thieves Gameplay Trailer
To celebrate the final days before the release of Sea of Thieves, Rare recently released the gameplay launch trailer for the game:
Pirates are shown preparing a ship for sailing as a crew. Raising the anchor and setting the sails works best in Sea of Thieves when the team is well-coordinated. This crew needs to be sharp when it comes to fights with other pirates on the high seas.
For this, you have powerful cannons on board that can be loaded with cannonballs (or even your teammates). Sea of Thieves recently attracted a lot of attention with this feature when they shot a stuntman 60 meters out of a cannon and set a world record.
The launch trailer also showcases different customization options that allow you to not only give your pirate a cool look but also upgrade ships with a special design.
While you rescue pigs and recover treasure chests, you will repeatedly have to fight against nasty opponents like shadow skeletons that want to take your life (and your loot). In addition to these smaller missions, you can also expect skeleton raids, marked by huge skull clouds.
Finally, we see in the trailer the massive Kraken, which players are particularly curious about. It is said that this creature is supposed to appear particularly unexpectedly and is quite vicious. As a crew, the battles against this beast are especially difficult and require a lot of skill from you.
The nasty thing about the Kraken is that it can appear at any moment and attack you and surrounding ships. So if you just came back from a big loot tour, you have to fear for your rewards.
