The Hungering Deep DLC is coming this month to Sea of Thieves. A trailer is set to introduce the new content.
Since the first beta phases of Sea of Thieves, players have complained about the lack of content in the pirate adventure. At the end of this month, on May 29, the Hungering Deep DLC will be released. The addon is free. It brings at least one new enemy that requires multiple pirates to defeat.
The Hungering Deep Trailer
The “The Hungering Deep” DLC is one of many planned content updates that the developers have in store for Sea of Thieves. In the trailer, they introduce it to you:
An interesting person who actually has two wooden legs talks in the trailer about something eerie from the depths. Ships suddenly disappear, and there is talk of something “impossible,” the man says.
It is said that one could summon this “something.” And this summoning apparently involves the two known instruments and one new instrument.
In the trailer, we see that the pirates work as a trio to summon the unknown:
- One plays the hurdy-gurdy
- One the concertina
- And then another player plays the drums
New instrument? Drums could therefore be part of the new content of the Hungering Deep DLC.
Sacrifices? The trailer mentions offerings. Do we have to sacrifice members of our pirate crews for the fight? Or perhaps animals that we previously put in cages?
By the release on May 29 at the latest, these questions will be answered. Do you like the outlook on the DLC?
The developers are planning to release two more DLCs for the summer. These are called Cursed Sails and Forsaken Shores. After that, three more updates will follow this year. A overview of the planned DLCs for Sea of Thieves can be found here.
