What’s the deal with the dogs? At the digital gamescom 2020, the developers of Sea of Thieves discussed the upcoming September update for the pirate MMO. This will include a new mission type for the Gold Hoarders faction, which will be further detailed just before release.
Much more important is what we already know, and that is adorable dogs! After Sea of Thieves introduced the fluffy pirate cats at the Steam launch in April 2020, it’s finally the dogs’ turn.
They function similarly to the cats. You can take them on board and cuddle with them or dress them up in all sorts of silly costumes. A real pirate dog needs an eye patch and a wooden leg!
Additionally, you should take the dogs for walks regularly so they don’t do their business on board and make a mess. The dogs will be available as premium pets in the shop, just like the cats.
Players want their dogs in the game
