In the pirate coop Sea of Thieves, the new DLC A Pirate’s Life will be released on June 22. In it, you can look forward to new content, including story missions. These missions and the easy entry in the DLC make it ideal for newcomers, solo players, and PvE fans who are not interested in hostile pirates.
What’s in the DLC? A Pirate’s Life offers several new features, including:
- 5 new story chapters that should keep you engaged for about 8 to 12 hours
- Jack Sparrow as an AI companion in your crew
- 3 new monster types that will attack you in the open world – sirens, creatures in the form of crabs and eels, and phantoms
- A new Battle Pass that revolves around the entire Season 3
What makes the DLC so interesting? The particularly cool thing about the DLC is that there are no prerequisites to play it. The quest can be started through a fortune teller at outposts or directly from the main menu, and you don’t need to know any of the previous stories to understand the events.
That makes “A Pirate’s Life” an ideal time to start with Sea of Thieves.
The story content is also instanced, so you can be on your own or only with your friends in a group. This way, you avoid all PvP content and will not be bothered by other pirates.
What is the cost of the DLC? The DLC will be released for free for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. However, you will need the base game to access the DLC, which costs around 40 Euros.

Obvious but brilliant crossover
What is the story about? In “A Pirate’s Life”, you meet Captain Jack Sparrow, who has stolen a mysterious pirate artifact and ended up in the world of Sea of Thieves with its help. However, he also brought some villains with him, including Davy Jones and the crew of the Flying Dutchman.
The story is completely new but is based on the movie characters. You will also encounter more than just Jack Sparrow and Davy Jones.
The crossover was actually quite obvious, but the announcement has already excited MeinMMO editor Patrick Freese: Sea of Thieves brings the most obvious crossover of all time – and I already love it.
