The game SCUM on Steam takes its claim to realism seriously. Therefore, they plan to introduce heart attacks soon. The reason is a 400-kilo colossus that feeds on zombie fat and simply won’t stop getting fatter.
This player is the focus: In SCUM, there is a player who has set a goal to become as fat as possible. And he is incredibly successful at it.
The last time, we reported on Tojimaru in September. He weighed a slim 188 kg.
The player moves in SCUM as little as possible and hunts zombies to feed on their fat. He has identified this as the most efficient way to accumulate kilograms.
The player is currently this fat: In the past 2 months, the player has bulked up to 400 kg. With a gigantic calorie intake and very low expenditure, he breaks the limits of the simulation.
SCUM wants to change this: In a conversation with PC Gamer, Graeme Struthers from publisher Devolver Digital announces that the developers have become aware of the problem and are planning countermeasures:
“There is a guy on reddit who has attracted a lot of attention because he wanted to determine the most efficient way to get fat. The result of that is a heart attack because in real life, you would also reach that point. These things are now being added to the game, so there will be an end to consuming zombie fat soon.”
A heart for the fat: Struthers offers hope to the giant. He states that the introduction of heart attacks does not necessarily mean the end. He could also go on a diet and eat better.
That would also be a way to attract attention on reddit: with a diet book and a training plan for physical fitness.
However, it is still unknown when heart attacks will come to SCUM. In the next patch, vehicles are to be added to SCUM first. A tractor and an SUV are already confirmed.
In one of the latest updates to SCUM, a mask made of human skin was introduced.
