The comedy series Scrubs not only has many iconic characters, but the couples in the series have achieved a cult status for many fans. We asked you what your favorite couple is, and you had 3 clear favorites.
On January 12, we showed you in a list which couples in Scrubs were the most popular based on search volume. In this context, we also asked you once again which couple belongs to your favorites. 1638 users (as of January 19, 2026, 12:40) voted and chose from 13 couples (not always official).
The top 5 is quite clear, but before we get to the winners, we’ll show you the previous places:

Bob Kelso is still a pretty mean guy at the beginning of the series, appearing as a heartless boss. However, throughout the series, he becomes more warm-hearted and shows his lovable side.
In Season 6, a coffee shop opens in the hospital, and after Kelso retires, fans don’t have to say goodbye to him for long. From Season 7, he regularly appears as a guest because he has won muffins for life. He picks them up diligently, which is why you probably voted this couple to 5th place.
It could also be because the previous places were not particularly convincing.
4. Turk and Carla
Turk and Carla are probably the most consistent couple in Scrubs. Yes, they had problems and conflicts, but since the first episode, there has been a wonderful chemistry between the two. Carla regularly stands up to her husband, and even though she loves to make fun of Turk’s nonsense, she can also participate well in it.
In many emotional and sad moments, the two showed how much they are there for each other, and their relationship is also used for many good gags. Think of the fusion of the two in the fantasy episode (Season 7, Episode 11).
3. J.D. and Elliot (16 %, 266 votes)
Much more chaotic than 4th place is the relationship between J.D. and Elliot. Right from the first episode, J.D. falls in love with his colleague, but this leads to a sitcom-typical back-and-forth. Sometimes they are together, sometimes one person breaks up, sometimes someone is jealous of someone else.
Despite this cliché, the chemistry between the two lasts through 8 seasons. Although they broke each other’s hearts, they mostly remained friends who were always there for each other. The successful relationship at the end is a great reward for the fans, and the finale of Season 8 is an emotional experience.
2. Dr. Cox and Jordan (21 %, 337 votes)
Similar to Kelso, Jordan is initially a pretty mean character who brings only chaos to hospital life. The relationship with Dr. Cox is also portrayed negatively. But Scrubs gradually manages to develop this relationship. You can tell that the two still have feelings for each other, and in the end, they represent an unusual but lovable couple.
A big highlight are also the mean moments between the two. When Dr. Cox and Jordan team up to take someone else down, you can immediately see that they are more alike than they would admit.

How could it be otherwise, Turk and J.D. are in 1st place for a third of you. Sure, they are officially not a couple, but hardly any couple has as many moments in Scrubs as the two. Their relationship consists not just of countless gags and funny moments, but is often also emotional and educational.
If necessary, one calls the other out, which not only provides a strong character development for the individual characters but also strengthens their relationship. They are lovable, iconic, and well-developed. An aspect that many series with real couples
fail to achieve.
