The servers at Fortnite had connection issues on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on February 26th. Login attempts are failing. Some users complain that Fortnite or the servers are down for them. Others are even shown that they have been banned, although they are innocent. There are particularly issues logging in on PS4 and Xbox One.
As Fortnite announces on Twitter, the servers are once again experiencing difficulties on Monday evening. There are connection problems. Epic Games is looking into this and will provide information as soon as possible regarding what is causing the disturbances in Fortnite.
Fortnite is currently experiencing a massive influx of players. There have been repeated issues in recent weeks because the servers could not handle the additional load of players.
Especially the Battle Royale mode is the current highlight, and players are flocking to it.
Too many players responsible for the server issues at Fortnite?
After the last update last week, the stress on the servers was so high that Epic Games temporarily disabled statistics like “Time Played” or the counting of wins to reduce the load on the servers.
Even though there is currently no confirmation of the cause of the disturbance in Fortnite, the issues began around 8:30 PM our time. This could indicate that an overload is causing the server issues. At this time, evening players in Europe log into Fortnite, and in the USA, it’s noon, and the first students log in.
The start of Season 3 is likely to exacerbate the problems.
Players complain about unjustified bans
Some players complain that they received an error message: Your login is blocked due to a ban.
Epic Games reassures that this is an error message related to the issues. The accounts of the players are safe.
Queue shows no time – Fortnite should still start on PS4 and Xbox One
Players complain: “Fortnite is not working.” But Epic states: Players can log in, but it may take longer.
Players on PS4 and Xbox One are not shown any time in the queue, but they should not leave the game. When the time in the queue expires, the game will start.
