One of the major highlights of BlizzCon every year is the cosplay contest, where anyone interested can showcase their own costumes that represent various characters from the Blizzard universes. Although the event isn’t directly related to the games compared to all the panels and new announcements, it is nonetheless one of the big highlights for many people. This year, Blizzard also took the time to showcase the various costumes in a stylish video.
Even if not everything goes as planned, and occasionally a hammer breaks during the video shoot, it is always a nice thing to see people who approach the matter with so much passion.
Cortyn says: I am always amazed by the attention to detail that many people show when it comes to crafting an elaborate costume.
The unacknowledged hero of the event is of course the little child in the Murloc costume, bravely standing up against the guards of Stormwind. Unfortunately, even a female Ragnaros or a Lich Queen cannot top the cuteness factor for me – although they also look pretty awesome.
