Today, Blizzard released the official trailer for Diablo 3 on the Nintendo Switch. The action RPG will be coming to the hybrid console with the Eternal Collection.
A leak prematurely announced the release of Diablo III on the Nintendo Switch. Now, Blizzard itself has released a trailer and an official announcement. The Diablo III: Eternal Collection for Nintendo Switch will be available in stores and digitally in the Nintendo eShop later this year.
When is Diablo 3 coming to the Switch? The date is still unknown. Blizzard mentioned a release in “late 2018.”
Diablo III comes to the Switch with the Eternal Collection: Here’s what’s included
These contents will be included with Diablo 3 on the Switch:
- Everything from the original game Diablo III, the Reaper of Souls expansion, to the Rise of the Necromancer
- 7 character classes
- A campaign with five acts set in the demon-infested world of Sanctuary
- An endless repeatable adventure mode
- Switch-exclusive bonus items such as the decorative armor set The Legend of Ganondorf from Zelda
- Online and local multiplayer for up to 4 players
These features are offered by the Nintendo Switch for Diablo III:
- Joy-Con controllers and Nintendo Switch Pro controller can be used
- The controls have been adapted for the Switch and are expected to be quite responsive
- In multiplayer:
- the screen of one console can be split
- the consoles can be connected wirelessly
- players can connect through Nintendo Switch Online
