Niantic recently showcased an official image of the fourth generation in Pokémon GO. On this occasion, we created an overview of Pokémon that will receive a new evolution in the 4th generation: You should stock up on these candies.
An image hinted at the 4th generation: For the second anniversary of Pokémon GO, Niantic released an image showing the three starter Pokémon of the fourth generation. You can learn more about the image here:
The new generation brings new evolutions and new babies: In the fourth generation, there are a total of 21 new evolutions and 6 new babies. These evolutions and babies are based on Pokémon from the first three generations. This means that trainers can start collecting candies for the upcoming evolutions. In Pokémon GO, Pokémon become stronger or evolve by feeding them candies.
You need this many candies for each evolution
Note on special evolutions, such as through trading: Some of the Pokémon can only evolve in the RPG games under certain conditions. For example, they must know a specific attack or hold a special item. These will also be listed for safety in the list below. How Niantic actually implements these special cases in Pokémon GO remains to be seen.
The candy costs are based on the experience of past generations and evolutions. The exact number has not been officially confirmed yet.
