Safety First
How does our WoW veteran Karsten Scholz evaluate the roster? You can tell that HandOfBlood and Metashi have great respect for the Molten Core in hardcore mode:
- 12 healers are supposed to ensure that there is no lack of healing anywhere. Without the Hardcore Damocles sword and with more experience in all positions, you would probably only take half.
- The Warlock group is mainly there for the fight against Garr, as the curse distributors can take four of the elemental servants out of the game with their banish spell.
- The many warriors and rogues are the typical Classic meta, as they have the highest damage potential against the bosses in the Molten Core. Rogues are less dependent on gear, while warriors scale slightly better with world buffs. The five mages are extremely helpful when enemy groups need to be bombed.
It fits that they assigned three of the most experienced participants from Sauercrowd—Falgan, Metashi, and Hahn—to the most important tank spots. Other experienced players like Sieglinde and Naguura are also supposed to ensure that no one dies as healers.
However, the guild leadership has kept its promise and included a whole batch of WoW newcomers in the roster. Among them are Mahluna, Papaplatte, Noway, and Felikah.
What about a second raid? Since there are now well over 100 characters at max level 60 in the Sauercrowd guild, there was some consideration of a parallel second raid for the Molten Core. However, that has been dismissed. Of course, some non-nominated players expressed disappointment after the guild meeting.
According to HandOfBlood and Metashi, the guild will have the opportunity to organize itself for a second raid after the first one and storm the core independently. Additionally, it may be possible that the roster could still change in detail by February 22, as scheduled characters end up with the spirit healer or invited participants might not be able to attend that day. No matter how this raid ends up: There are already 10 big winners from Sauercrowd
