“It was really just another job”
For the first time, the actress revealed her initial doubts about participating in Terminator on an American talk show. It was also the first time that Arnold Schwarzenegger heard about his colleague’s concerns:

In the new Netflix documentary Arnold, which revolves around the life of the Terminator actor, the actress went into more detail about what was going through her mind regarding the project. The Terminator did not really convince her:
It was really just another job. I didn’t think it was particularly more than other scripts that I had read. I mean, really clueless. It was a very low budget, and we were all quite new to it. I definitely had my doubts.

She also stamped the lead actor at the beginning: “According to our snobby definition, Arnold was a show-off. A bodybuilder pretending to be an actor.”
However, she changed her mind when she watched Arnold Schwarzenegger on set: “But because I was curious, I went to the sidelines and watched Arnold, and I bought it from him. The physicality and the stiffness and all the things he executed.” After that, she thought that the whole project might actually work. And it did.
In the end, Terminator became an absolute success. The estimated budget of the film is around 6.4 million dollars. As a worldwide gross, the action film managed to earn more than 78 million dollars (via imdb). Several sequels to the saga followed over the years.
In 2019, the latest installment of the action film series titled “Terminator: Dark Fate” (2019) was released. Hamilton and Schwarzenegger once again took on their cult roles as Sarah Connor and Terminator.
