5. Kennen
Kennen is one of the champions who can also be counted among the older ones, as he was introduced in 2010. Over time, while there have been some changes to his abilities and artworks, he remains one of the least played champions.
Some players are surprised at the higher winrate of champions like him or Taric, despite their miserable pickrates. Kennen’s win rate is currently at 49.58 % (via op.gg). The user Squidlettt provides the following explanation in a thread on Reddit:
A low pickrate means that the statistics reflect more OTPs (=One Trick Players) who play him, meaning he should have a higher win rate …. think about it.

6. Tryndamere
Tryndamere’s pickrate is not as poor as that of the other champions. After all, he has just made it to rank 99 in the top 100 most picked champions. So why has he still made it onto the list?
Tryndamere is also one of the champions who count among the older ones, as he was added to the game in 2009. Shortly thereafter, he received a rework of his abilities, but nothing since then. What likely bothers players about Tryndamere are the outdated artworks, which definitely need an overhaul.
7. Zilean
Similarly to Tryndamere, Zilean’s situation is not as dire as that of our other champions on the list, but he currently ranks only 152nd among the most played champions (via op.gg).
He has also been in the game since 2009, but he has neither received a rework nor have his artworks been updated. There is a significant lack of everything. After such a long time, we believe that Zilean also deserves his rework to become more appealing to players.
