Riot pays tribute to one of the first League of Legends world champions, giving away a skin in his memory

In League of Legends, the World Championship has been held since 2011. In this event, the best players in the world compete for the title of world champion. One of the first world champions recently passed away, and Riot honors him this month with two gifts to the community.

Who was the first world champion in League of Legends? In 2011, the team Fnatic became the first world champion in LoL history. The top laner Maciej “Shushei” Ratuszniak greatly contributed to the victory and dominated the top lane with his main champion Gragas. At the end of April 2025, the LoL legend passed away at the young age of just 36.

Which skin is Riot giving you? To pay proper respect to Shushei, Riot has decided to gift you his Fnatic Gragas skin. All you have to do is play three games with his main champion Gragas.

In addition to the Fnatic Gragas skin, there is another gift for players: the title “Shushei Forever.” The skin and title will be available until June 2, 2025.
