The streamer believes that Riot is doing everything wrong and that the current matchmaking is causing players to not watch professional games anymore. In his anger, he even goes so far as to say that the game is unplayable if the current situation does not change.
Riot should prefer players from high Elo
What specific problem does NoWay mean? The user “Faileby” explains on Reddit once again which problem NoWay specifically addressed. He describes that the blue side of the map has been much stronger than the red side for many years. In addition, there has generally been a champion that was completely “broken,” which, in combination, led to a high win rate for the blue side.
Riot then tried to fix the problem by giving the red side more points after a win. According to the user, this worked well. However, it is now the case that several champions are “broken” and also fewer players are playing in high Elo, which can often lead to suboptimal matchmaking.
Another, much more serious problem seems to be that high-Elo players are favored to play on the red side. This makes it difficult for other players, who are Master or Grandmaster, to climb in Elo. To support this, he shows based on the last 40 matches of the current top 5 in Europe how often they have played on the red side. For all five players, it should have been well over 60 % of the matches on the red side.
