In World of Warcraft the Darkmoon Faire is now active. Everyone who is currently actively playing Dragonflight and wants to progress their characters should stop by. You will receive progress for your profession practically for free and can pick up a strong reputation and XP buff.
Update: Since January 1, 2023, the Darkmoon Faire is back. You can now easily gain knowledge and skill points again.
Where can I get the knowledge? The Darkmoon Faire is back! You reach the faire by speaking with a representative in Orgrimmar or Stormwind, getting teleported to the entrance, and then stepping through the portal.
For every profession, you will find a quest on Darkmoon Island. Simply walk along the stalls and look out for golden exclamation marks. These indicate profession quests that you can complete once at each Darkmoon Faire, so once per month.
In addition to our tips for gaining profession knowledge faster, the Darkmoon Faire is the best way to quickly and easily level up your professions.

How do I complete the quests? You don’t need any special prerequisites to accept the quests, other than having learned the professions and progressed them to the Dragon Isles. What exactly you need to do varies from quest to quest.
Most of the quests can be completed directly on the island without needing to do anything else. Usually, you just need to collect items or create something from the materials provided. In rare cases, you will need additional materials, such as parchment for inscription or flour in cooking. For completion, you will receive:
- 2 skill points for the respective profession (3 for secondary professions)
- 3 points of knowledge for your profession (none for secondary professions)
- 15 Artisan’s Zeal
- 1 game token and 4 lottery tickets from the Darkmoon Faire
The skill points and knowledge are credited immediately. Therefore, we recommend that you progress as far as possible as gaining skill points becomes increasingly difficult later in the profession.
The profession quests themselves give experience points and are completed quickly, making them worthwhile if you’re still leveling. You can get a significant amount of XP here without much effort. Crafting is also worth it for leveling, the fastest players even reached level 70 with professions.

Strong bonuses at every Darkmoon Faire
The Darkmoon Faire is also suitable for your twinks and main characters to level up or farm reputation. If you spend a few moments on the carousel or roller coaster, you receive the ‘Yippee!’ buff. This gives you:
- +10% experience points
- +10% reputation gained with all factions
The XP stacks with most other bonuses and thus helps you level up to level 70 faster. In our guide, you can find more tips for leveling quickly in Dragonflight.
With the bonus reputation, you can rise faster in fame with the various factions on the Dragon Isles. There, you will receive further rewards such as cosmetics or even powerful equipment.
