Rift will soon receive a new expansion called “Starfall Prophecy“, which we even got to experience live at Gamescom . Now the developers have released more information about the expansion and explain how our characters can gain strength and how the Saboteur will become even better.
In the Rift expansion “Starfall Prophecy”, our heroes must stop a falling comet and survive various challenges. This can only be achieved if our avatars become stronger, and in addition to the five new levels, the developers at Trion Worlds mention the following possibilities for us to become more powerful.
- Legendary Powers: These are special variants of existing skills, which become much stronger as legendary versions and allow for entirely different applications. For example, the legendary version of “Flame Bolt” gives us a buff of +20 percent more damage on the next non-fire attack, which supports diverse builds.
- Eternal Items: The expansion introduces a new rarity level called “Eternal”. These are divine artifacts whose full potential must be painstakingly unlocked and unleashed. The items are said to be so rare that even the most dedicated players should hardly see more than two of them.
- Planar Fragments: These upgrade items allow us to adjust the tertiary stats on our gear, ensuring that the new helmet fits perfectly with our role as a tank or healer.

In addition to the changes from the expansion, Rift also received a new update that improved the Saboteur class. Therefore, the Saboteur can now launch everything and everyone into the air even more effectively, for example, with three different sticky grenades, a stun grenade, an implosion device that attracts enemies, and finally with a particularly powerful explosion called “Cloud Maker”.
