In the Free2Play MMO Rift , a fan has now presented such detailed plans for special crafting rifts that a developer said, “This is close to what I am currently working on.”
This is probably every fan’s dream: to propose a system that one misses, let the thoughts flow, and one of the developers says, “These are great ideas. I am currently working on something like this.”
This is what happened in the Rift forum: A player raved about his idea of a “Nightmare Crafting Rift,” in which there would be a crafting table in the middle and materials could be obtained from the mob waves. Then the developer joined the discussion.
No details about how and when the system might come are available. The developer talks about “Planar Crafting.” The “Nightmare Rifts” in Rift are a kind of “horde mode,” where players fight against increasingly difficult waves of mobs.
