In the online role-playing game Rift, the new update “Crucia’s Claw” and the Halloween event “Harvest Festival” are starting. However, unfortunately, the most important new feature is still missing and is delayed.
In Rift, the classic MMORPG from Trion, many players are looking forward to the Halloween event “Harvest Festival” as well as the new content from the update “Crucia’s Claw”. Both contents are now online, but the most important new feature is still missing: The new soul (class) of the Mystic Archer.
Action class “Mystic Archer” is delayed
The Mystic Archer was supposed to appear as part of Crucia’s Claw. It is a new mage soul, thus a subclass of the wizard. Unlike the usual classes in Rift, the Mystic Archer plays much more action-packed and dynamic.
You must time his attacks well and fire accurately. So more like in an action RPG or MOBA than in a classic MMORPG with tab-targeting like in Rift.

However, it shouldn’t take long until the era of the magical archer begins. The developers of Rift have already indicated on Twitter that the archer will be added soon. He just needs to “tighten his magical bowstring on the mystical bow,” and then he will be here!
The contents of Harvest Festival and Crucia’s Claw
But even without the Mystic Archer, you can have a lot of fun right now in Rift, because the updates Crucia’s Claw and Harvest Festival are here. The Halloween event of the Harvest Festival lasts until November 16 and brings among other things:
- The new dimension Irongrave
- New masks, such as mummies, rotten skulls, dragon skulls or papagenio
- Cool raven wings
- Necklaces that increase your reputation
- New mounts
- New pets
- New costumes
- Login rewards
In update 4.3 “Crucia’s Claw,” you will find among other things the new raid “Steel Bastion” as well as changes to the system of the “Immortal Weapon.” More info about update 4.3 in Rift can be found here!
The delay of the Mystic Archer is not the first delay in the game. Rift had some trouble with the last major addon.
