In the free fantasy MMO Rift, Patch 2.8 is coming on Wednesday, which is set to prepare for the next expansion.
Trion Worlds teases with a short banner the Pre-Expansion Patch 2.8 for Rift. While nothing official is currently announced, they only state that more information will be released soon. However, from previous statements, it’s known that Patch 2.8 will address issues with the auction house that have been frustrating players for a long time. Additionally, the patch, known as “Awakening Madness,” will prepare for the expansion “Nightmare Tides”. So there might already be a first new dungeon.
The expansion “Nightmare Tides” will delve into the planar realm of water, but this water is not the source of life; rather, it is more like the resting place of unspeakable, ancient creatures with a few too many tentacles, akin to H.P. Lovecraft.
