In the subreddit of Apex Legends, the developers from Respawn have spoken out and explained how they want to improve the game in the coming days. This involves hitboxes, audio problems, and performance.
How Respawn plans to improve the game: In a longer Reddit thread, the developers of Apex Legends explain their plans for the coming days. They talked about crashes, frame rate, and the hitboxes of the legends.
We will show you the highlights from the thread and provide you with insight into a theory that some players have put forward.
What the developers say about possible improvements
This is what will be done about the frame rate: Respawn confirmed that there was a bug with the frame rate. It was limited to 140 frames per second. In an upcoming update, the frame rate is expected to be increased to 300.
There has already been an update: Xbox players have already received a small update. Some stability issues on the Xbox One have been fixed.
There is a problem with hitboxes: In recent days, players have repeatedly reported problems with the hitboxes of opponents. This has now also been confirmed by Respawn.
Improvements have already been made to the server. However, further tests are being conducted to permanently eliminate this problem.
These are the audio problems: Respawn also talked about some audio issues that arose in the past few days. They also want to fix these as soon as possible:
- Audio dropouts, where some audio lines are only partially or not present at all
- Audio distortions that occur especially with very loud noises
- Sometimes, footsteps from opponents are too quiet or even not audible
These tips are available for the audio problems: The developers also provided tips on how to tackle the audio issues.
- Primarily, the hard drive connection is responsible for the problems. If you can enhance the hard drive, this should be done immediately
- Apex Legends does not support quad audio. Therefore, you should switch to a different audio format to resolve the issues
This is what has been done against crashes: Respawn released an update for the PC last week to address the numerous crashes in the game.
The developers report that 90% of crashes have been resolved as a result. However, they also stated that this is not enough, and they are continuing to work on solutions.
What fans noticed: Besides all the news from the developers, some players noticed a small detail in an image. This image was published alongside the developers’ text.
This concerns a weapon that is not yet in the game. The legend Mirage is holding this weapon. Therefore, some players speculate that this rifle will soon be available in the game. However, nothing has been officially confirmed.
